Gear Hut does NOT buy any items outright;
Payment is only in the form of check or store credit AFTER an item sells.

All items must be CLEAN,
with all parts and in working condition.
We have a 2 bag drop off limit/visit to reduce backlog. If you have a mass drop off or large item, please CONTACT US to schedule an appointment.
Consignment Seasons
Gear Hut operates with two main retail seasons: Summer (April-August) & Winter (September-February). We hold two end-of-season sales annually to clear space for the next season's inventory. Consignment terms for seasonal items (ie: skis, winter apparel, paddling gear) won't be renewed at the end of season; consignors will receive an email to collect remaining items within 14 days.

Taking Boats & Bikes starting March 20th
All consignors must present ID and be 18 years of age to consign and set up an account with Gear Hut.
We accept consignment based on store capacity and demand. Items should be no older than 6-8 years old.
If you're questioning if we will take an item, think "could I buy this at REI?"
If the answer is yes, we will probably take it.

Give us a call (775-219-4612) BEFORE you load up the car so we can ensure space for your drop off (especially boats & bikes).
